About OneWorld Radio
A global radio community sharing programmes and ideas on development.
OneWorld Radio offers services and networking for broadcasters
and civil society organisations that use radio for human rights and
sustainable development.
It is a tool for broadcasters - a place on the internet where they
can find radio programmes for exchange and all the information from the
sector of radio for development they need - news, funding and training
opportunities and manuals. They can also use OneWorld Radio to network
with each other by searching the OneWorld Radio directory of members
and sharing information about their activities.
OneWorld Radio is a growing family of websites focusing on
different topics/regions/languages that share audio and membership
databases.
At the moment, the OneWorld Radio network consists of the following websites:
OneWorld Radio - in English, focusing on English-speaking members and those not covered by the other sites.
OneWorld Radio Français - in French, focusing on French-speaking members.
OneWorld Radio Español - in Spanish, focusing on Spanish-speaking members.
OneWorld AIDS Radio - in English, with a global focus on HIV/AIDS and the media.
OneWorld Africa - in English, focusing on members from Africa.
OneWorld Radio South East Europe - focusing on members from south-east Europe, it is in English and three local languages:

What's on OneWorld Radio?
Radio programmes
OneWorld Radio offers you access to a wide variety of audio
content on human rights, civil society, and development topics for
listening online. As a member you can also download programmes for
free, to broadcast on your radio station or use in a workshop, and you
can upload your programmes for others to hear. By sharing your
programmes, you will increase the impact of your work and reach new
audiences internationally.
Members database
All of our members can create their own online ID card by filling
in a joining form with information about their activities and, if they
want, with their contact details. This enables a detailed and easy
search of OneWorld Radio members' database for other like-minded
members.
News and eventsStories
from the radio for development sector around the world - covering
issues like media freedom and ICTs. There is also a global diary of
events and a compilation of mailing lists and newsgroups that may be of
interest to OneWorld Radio members.
Resources
Information on funders and funding opportunities, and background
information on a variety of topics which you may wish to cover in your
programmes.
Training
Online and printed training resources, and organisations that
organise media training. Plus step-by-step guides to creating digital
audio files for the web and producing community radio.
